The SantanderSign app is designed to authorize transactions from online banking for Santander customers in Germany. Transactions made through online banking or the mobile banking app are displayed in the SantanderSign app as transactions to be authorized, which can be approved using fingerprint, facial recognition, or personal password. Download the SantanderSign app and the mobile banking app on your smartphone to have flexibility in conducting your banking transactions on the go. To activate, you'll need your online banking credentials.

The double verification of your mobile banking transactions ensures your own security and is deemed mandatory due to the PSD2 Regulation (European Payment Services Directive) of September 2019. This directive is obligatory for banks in the EU.
